Crafted from type-304, 10-gauge, brightly polished stainless steel, the cap is welded to the type-304, 22-gauge support arm, which is made of the same materials and welded to the mounting flange. The flange bears the towel pin's 16-gauge stainless steel mounting bracket and is kept out of sight along with the 16-gauge, type-304 wall bracket once the unit is installed. By keeping the mounting pieces and the hardware hidden beneath the flange, there is less of a risk for vandalism and theft. Once installed, the towel pin extends 2-5/16 inches from the mounting surface and complies with barrier-free accessibility guidelines when installed 38 to 40 inches above the floor.
