These single-jacket supply line fire hoses are made from nitrile and PVC (polyvinyl chloride). They withstand exposure to petroleum, chemicals, ozone, and abrasion and are used for supply and attack operations by municipal fire departments, navies, petrochemical facilities, nuclear plants, and other industrial-services. The hoses are lightweight and flexible, which minimizes the effort required to carry and move the hose.,Supply line fire hoses are large-diameter hoses that bring large volumes of water from a hydrant or other pressurized source to a fire pump so it can be conveyed to an attack hose. Sometimes called relay hoses, they can also be used to transfer water from one fire pump to another over a distance. These flexible hoses lay flat for compact storage and have fittings on both ends for connecting to equipment.
