All exterior components are 300 Series stainless steel to provide maximum corrosion resistance in severe-duty and washdown environments. This motor is well-sealed against moisture and condensation to protect internal components, and the exterior is completely paint and coating free. A heavy polyester insulating varnish is applied to the windings for extra moisture and corrosion resistance. There's also a moisture-resistant sealant between the frame and the endbells. The double-sealed oversized bearings are treated with rust-inhibitive grease. The shaft-end bearing is locked internally to limit axial endplay. 4 drains in each endshield allow drainage of condensation in any mounting position.
