For use in the food processing, chemical processing, and beverage industries, this motor is well-sealed against moisture and condensation to protect internal components. It has a completely paint- and coating-free exterior. All exterior components are 300 Series stainless steel to provide maximum corrosion resistance in severe-duty and washdown environments. Heavy polyester insulating varnish is applied to the windings for extra moisture and corrosion resistance. Additional features include moisture-resistant sealant between the frame and endbells, and double-sealed oversized bearings with rust-inhibitive grease. The shaft-end bearing is locked internally to limit axial endplay. Four drains in each endshield allow drainage of condensation in any mounting position.
