New Part Number: DEC-V-5S - Essentially, the unit is a two-stage decontamination shower, the sequence of action is as follows:
Firstly, the top Shower valve is opened manually by means of a hand lever. Detergent is induced into the water flow due to a venturi action. The subject is then decontaminated by venture action by the overhead Shower Rose and by the added facility of a'Car-wash' type brush. The detergent flow rate is controlled by a 3/8" needle valve situated above the detergent reservoir. This is to be turned clockwise to reduce flow and anti-clockwise to increase it.
Note: The viscosity of the detergent may also affect its flow rate and dilution of the detergent to reduce the viscosity may be necessary to achieve a suitable rate of flow.
When the wash-down is complete, the top Shower valve is shut off and the bottom valve is then opened to give a pressurized clean water drench from the ten high pressure nozzles.
