The top layer saves on product and disposal costs; absorbed grime is nearly invisible, so you'll leave mat in place longer. A fast-wicking dimple pattern transfers liquids from the top layer into the absorbent inner layers, so spills disappear in seconds. Tough, scuff-resistant, spunbond top layer stands up to heavy foot traffic and won't rip, tear, fray, or create a trip hazard, even when saturated. Under the Ham-O top layer is the 8-layer polypropylene construction of PIG Mat. Absorbs most common industrial liquids: oils, water, solvents, coolants, and more. The flame-resistant material won't burn immediately like a cellulose mat, because this mat melts when exposed to high heat.
