The Bobrick B-58616 Grab Bar features two grab bars in one continuous unit and can be used in bathroom compartments, tubs and showers where there are two walls. The unit measures 24 inches in width by 36 inches in depth with bars that are 1-1/4 inches in diameter. The grab bars in the unit are made of 18-gauge, type-304 stainless steel that has an attractive satin finish and will show fewer fingerprints than a brightly polished surface. To secure the unit to the wall, mounting flanges that are made of stainless steel plates that are 1/8 of an inch thick are included in the design. The mounting screws that bolt the flanges to the wall are concealed by 22-gauge stainless steel covers that snap over the plates once the unit is installed. With proper installation 1-1/2 inches from the wall, the grab bar unit can support up to 900 pounds of weight.
