The peened gripping surface featured on the Bobrick B-6806.99x24 Concealed Mounting with Snap Flange Grab Bar is designed to improve the safety of your facilities by making the grab bar easier to grip. Measuring 24 inches in length, the grab bar is the second shortest in the 1-1/2-inch diameter lineup made with the peened surface. The bar is made of type-304, 18-gauge stainless steel and can withstand up to 900 pounds of weight when installed with 1-1/2 inches of clearance from the wall or toilet stall partition. With less or more clearance, the bar supports as much as 250 pounds and complies with ADA and other barrier-free accessibility guidelines. The unit attaches to the mounting surface with two stainless steel mounting plates, which measure 1/8 of an inch in thickness. The grab bar passes through the flanges and is welded in place for extra strength. Stainless steel covers snap in place over the mounting plates once the bar is installed.
