The Bobrick B-68137.99 Grab Bar features two grab bars that measure 1-1/2 inches in diameter arranged so that they are ideal for installation in two-wall showers and bathroom stalls that require grab bars measuring 36 inches along their width and 54 inches along their depth. The unit has a satin finish, which cuts down on fingerprinting, and a peened gripping surface, which reduces the risk of accidents when users grab hold of them with wet hands. Type-304, 18-gauge stainless steel tubing is used in the fabrication of the grab bars, and the mounting flanges are made of stainless steel plates that are 1/8 of an inch thick. Type-304, 22-gauge stainless steel flange covers are used to conceal the hardware and easily, yet tightly, snap into place after installation. When installed securely 1-1/2 inches from the wall, the grab bars have the ability to support up to 900 pounds of weight and comply with ADA and other accessibility guidelines.
